Taylor Swift was just in Los Angeles Wednesday night to attend the premiere of her “Eras Tour” concert film, but that isn’t stopping her from going to the Kansas City Chiefs‘ next game.
The pop star is expected to once again be in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Thursday night for the Chiefs vs. Broncos game, amid romance rumors between her and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The game, which kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT, will stream live on Amazon Prime Video, which is the exclusive home of Thursday Night Football this year. If you aren’t a Prime member, you can stream the Chiefs vs. Broncos game for free with this 30-day free trial.
The Chiefs are looking to keep their four-game win streak alive with another victory tonight. Their most recent victory was on Sunday against the Vikings, when they took the match 27-20 after a tense 13-13 tie at halftime. Meanwhile, the Broncos face stiff competition following a home loss against the New York Jets on Sunday. The Broncos haven’t won against the Chiefs in 15 games, dating back to 2015.
Despite the action occurring on the field, many eyes will likely wander to the stands, where Swift is expected to be watching and cheering on Kelce. Swift caused a media frenzy with her attendance at two of the Chiefs’ last three games. During the Chiefs-Jets game, she was joined by famous friends like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Sophie Turner, and the NFL broadcast frequently cut to Swift in the stands.
In fact, Kelce even admitted that the NFL “might be overdoing it a bit.”
“I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game,” Kelce told his brother Jason on their “New Heights” podcast. “I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, they’re overdoing it a little bit for sure… especially my situation. I think they’re trying to have fun with it.”
That being said, it makes sense why the NFL is capitalizing on Swift’s newfound football interest. Her attendance at the Chiefs-Jets game brought in an average of 27 million viewers to NBC and Peacock, ranking it as the most-watched Sunday program since the Super Bowl and spiking female viewership by more than 35%.
