The studio has been steadily expanding their gaming portfolio since 2014. The business collaborated on Sunset Overdrive with Microsoft Studios in 2014, teamed with GameTrust to develop Song of the Deep, an underwater Metroidvania game, and launched various mobile games and virtual reality projects. Insomniac produced a reimagining of the initial Ratchet & Clank in 2016, and Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 in 2018. Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released in 2020 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the studio’s most recent project, was published exclusively for the PlayStation 5 in June 2021.
