PlayStation Plus Free Games For June 2022 Are Absolutely Massive

PlayStation have just announced a massive list of free games that subscribers to the new overhauled PlayStation Plus service can get their hands on when the service launches in June, and they’re amazing.

Reception to the planned overhaul had been mixed, to say the least, but these titles are sure to make some fans come round to the idea. From Red Dead Redemption 2 to Marvel’s Spider-Man, there’s a great selection of both first and third party titles, many of which are completely new to PlayStation’s subscription services.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely going to be a popular download when it hits the overhauled PS Plus service – take a look at some of our favourite wins and fails from the game below.

Some of the highlights include:

  • Bloodborne
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Celeste
  • Demon’s Souls
  • NBA 2K22
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • God of War
  • Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
  • Returnal
  • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Outer Wilds

Now, the key thing to keep in mind here is that these freebies will only be available to Extra and Premium tier subscribers – those who stick with the Essential plan (which is basically just the exact same thing we have now, with access to online services and monthly free games) will miss out. So, if you wanna get in on this, that monthly price is going to go up quite significantly, from £6.99 to £10.99, or even £13.49 if you decide to go all in and splash out on Premium.

Speaking of Premium, don’t think that we forgot about those classic titles. We now have a list of those, too – here are some of the best picks.

  • Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty
  • Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time
  • Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus
  • Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
  • Bioshock Remastered
  • Infamous
  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

Chances are, if you’ve been a loyal PlayStation user for some time now, you’ve probably already played a lot of these games, in which case, kind of sucks to be you. However, there’s a veritable treasure trove of titles here – there’s almost certainly going to be something you won’t have tried before.

We don’t have long to wait until the service launches – it’ll be landing in the US on 13 June, and in Europe on 23 June.
