Aston Martin has partnered with racing and motorsport game developer The Tiny Digital Factory and launched a digital diecast collectibles range of vehicles that can be raced in Infinite Drive on iOS and Android.
A total of 3,000 digital diecast models will be available for fans to buy, own, and race from December 18, namely a 1980 Aston Martin Vantage V8, the 2022 Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 racing car.
The Tiny Digital Factory says each of the three models has been “painstakingly recreated” to precisely mimic their real-world counterparts through expert 3D modeling and hand-drawn 3D artistry. Gamers who purchase one of the digital diecasts will also be able to experience them on tracks such as the Nurburgring and Fuji Speedway. They even feature authentic V8 soundtracks and “accurate speed and handling specs.”
“From cars in garages to diecast models on shelves, and toys in boxes to posters on walls, motoring fans have always connected with driving and racing brands through collecting and ownership,” founder and chief executive of The Tiny Digital Factory, Stéphane Baudet said. “It’s both an honor and a tremendous responsibility to bring the history, legacy and artistry of Aston Martin into metaverse racing, so fans can own and forever enjoy these stunning 3D digital diecast collectibles.”
