Woodlands best sports bars to watch college football, NFL games

College football season already is underway and the Texans are set to kick off their season Sept. 10. 

Here are 10 sports bars to catch the best of the gridiron action on television in The Woodlands:

Kirby Ice House

The longest bar in Texas also has one of the biggest screens in The Woodlands. The spacious outdoor beer garden comes equipped with food trucks, cornhole and 51 beers on tap for those looking to celebrate each gameday on the big screen.

Ale & Ivy

The former Rookie’s sports bar has gone a more hip, refined route, but it’s still geared toward crafting a good gameday experience. The newly-opened bar offers craft cocktails, beers on tap, a full menu, a renovated patio and new activities from private karaoke rooms to arcade games.

Sawyer Park Ice House

Sunday night football has already kicked off at Sawyer Park Ice House, a laid back indoor-outdoor bar tucked away on the border of The Woodlands and Spring. Fans can catch the game while grabbing a bite off the summer menu or splitting a shareable drink with friends each weekend.

Baker St. Pub and Grill

Woodson’s Local Tap + Kitchen

 Locally-owned Woodson’s is known more for its Southern barbecue-influenced eats, but the has 28 beers on tap and eagerly celebrates each gameday. The College Park-area restaurant caters to both Conroe and Woodlands crowds with wings and draft beer available for each NFL and college football watch party.

Goose’s Acre

Though it’s officially the soccer headquarters of The Woodlands, this neighborhood bar also caters to the Astros, hockey, and American football. Enjoy a refined cocktail list combined with classic burgers, appetizers and wraps while watching the big game at this Grogan’s Mill spot.
